School Tree Planting
Every school year the Department of Education ( DepEd ) in cooperation of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources ( DENR ) requires every graduating students in every school to plant ten ( 10 ) pieces of bearing and non- bearing trees. In response to the said DepEd memorandum, Rizal Memorial Elementary School actively participated this project and planted coconut started last June 19, 2007 to March 23, 2008 respectively. School site was the area of planting with an area of twenty thousand ( 20 ) square meters located at back of Rizal Memorial Elementary School. Our main objectives are: To teach children the importance of tree and take care of the nature, prevent soil erosion and other natural calamities, maintain the watershed area of our school, to help maintain and remain the balance of nature. |
